Work together, remove the middleman, save money!

Erik Bogaard (@erikbogaard)
My name is Erik Bogaard. I'm currently taking time off from college in order to focus on myBookCrate. Our goal is to redefine the market for textbooks by creating a new marketplace for students that identifies and solves the plethora of problems that we currently have when buying and selling our books. It's wrong that we pay hundreds of dollars for new books only to receive a small fraction in return when we resell them. In addition, it's wrong that the same books that we're told “aren’t worth much” show up on store shelves the very next term at more than twice what we were paid. However, does this mean we should have to rent books only to follow a laundry list of acceptable use policies and return the book for zero money back? No! It's time that there was an equitable, expedient marketplace for students to do business with students. myBookCrate is a 100% student run operation and we're focused on providing the most professional, intuitive and convenient marketplace for students to lower the cost of using textbooks.
Simply tell us which books you'd like to buy and sell. We'll automatically notify you when your books have sold and when the books you need become available. Instead of having to pay high shipping costs to send books to buyers or wondering when, or if, your book will arrive in time for class, simply meet on campus.
